The biscuit doesn’t brown as easily as what you would get with regular flour. Don’t sweat about this as it does not detract away from the flavor.
Carbquik Drop Biscuits Recipe
- 2 cups CarbquikTM
- 2/3 cups water (or as needed to make a firm, smooth dough)
- Preheat oven to 350 deg.
- Place CarbquikTM in mixer bowl. On low speed, add water to mixer and run until dough forms and all water has been absorbed.
- Spoon dough chunks onto greased cookie sheet, approximately 6 biscuits per recipe.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden.
Buttermilk Carbquik Recipe
2 cups Carbquik
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/8 cup water
-Preheat oven to 350�F. Place dry mix in mixer bowl. On low speed, slowly add liquid until dough forms. Do not overwork dough.
-Roll to � inch thick sheet.
-Cut 2 inch circles, place on greased baking sheet.
-Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Brush with butter or oil (optional).
How do I cook with Carbquik?
When cooking with Carbquik you have to watch out for a couple of issues.
Carbquik turns dark much faster, so if you are using it as a coating to fry foods with, you have to adjust the heat to cook a little longer at a lower temp.
2. If you are using carbquik this to thicken soups or sauces, you will need 2-3 times the amount of carbquik baking mix.
Carbquick can be pretty bland when using for a beer batter or breading. I conquer this by adding seasoning before cooking.

You may be able to find carbquik in stores, but I would not count on it without wasting your precious Sunday.
Why is Carbquik not Keto?
Carbquik contains wheat, and may kick you of of ketosis due to the high total carbs. Some people will be able to digest carbquik where it does not affect ketone levels, but some will not be able to tolerate the spike.
What is carbquik to bisquick ratio?
You can exchange bisquick for carbquik a 1:1 basis. This of course depends on the reicipe that you are utilizing and different moisture content with the ingredients may throw off the texture.
Carbquik doesn’t absorb as much oil from say sausage and cheese, and it won’t have the exact texture and flakiness.
